Drumbeat4Change essay winner, Sokhana Bhe, was presented with an award by Irmela Pakendorf from Rotary Knysna at Simonstown High School yesterday.

Irmela is the driving force behind the Drumbeat4Change initiative that has spread beyond Knysna.
Scores of students entered the essay competition that focused on discussing the problem of bullying by applying the Rotary four-way test.

Marge Upfold, Youth Director and Past President of COGH, was instrumental in encouraging Simonstown students to take part in the essay competition.
Lucresia Harrison, Principal of Simonstown High School, welcomed the Rotarians to the school for the presentation.

COGH Club President Owen Govender and fellow COGH members, Bev Frieslich and Gillian Anderson, were also happy to be part of the event at the school.
